Jacobs Ladder - Sound Design

Part of a third year uni project where I recreated the entire scenes audio by recording my own sfx/foley and tweaking it in software (logic) as well as the music.

I recreated the entire audio for this clip using only a limited 4 track channel sound design, to give an authentic approach to old school gaming audio engineering. I used channel 1 for sfx, channel 2 for white noise/percussion, channel 3 for the melody and channel 4 for the bass.

Here I have recreated the SFX/audio for an animation from League of Legends. I chose to do the recall animation of the Star Guardian skin line for the character Janna. I decided to do my own take on the original rather than attempting to recreate it. This skinline is based on sailor moon/magical girl themes so I incorporated sparkly, whimsical and magical sounds. The character Janna is also an elemental wind spirit, so I used airy light and white noise sounds layered underneath the main melodies and sfx.

Here I experimented with a simple take on blip dialogue that you'd normally see in pixelated/8-bit/16-bit etc games.
